About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Facilities Officer and Bond Program Director to join its dynamic team. This cabinet-level leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, modernization, and responsiveness of the company's 36 school sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership in all aspects of facilities operations, capital projects, and bond program oversight. Key priorities include day-to-day oversight of the Maintenance & Operations department, monitoring and supporting bond-funded projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory codes, and addressing facility needs across the school sites. The ideal candidate will be a proven facilities leader with a strong background in public school facilities management, a solutions-oriented approach, and a commitment to the company's culture of collaboration and customer service.

Applicants for the Chief Facilities Officer and Bond Program Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field, with at least 5 years' of experience in public school construction and facilities operations, including 3 years' in a management role. Strong knowledge of state and local regulations, as well as experience in budget management, and the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships are essential. The role requires a leader who is proactive, highly communicative, and capable of prioritizing competing needs while removing barriers. The successful candidate will be expected to lead with high-level communication, transparency, and responsiveness, and to build internal leadership capacity by mentoring staff and fostering a collaborative, problem-solving culture. A valid California driver's license and the ability to travel between sites as needed are also required.
