About the Role

The Company is seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to lead the organization through a transformative period. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the completion of the current three-year strategic plan, with a focus on core mission-driven work, educational outreach, and fundraising. This role demands a leader with strong management skills, a passion for conservation, and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the organization's work, including land acquisition, education programming, business operations, and external relations. They must be adept at maintaining a focus on the urgent work of land preservation while supporting public engagement and the long-term capacity of the Foundation.

Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be strategic and results-oriented, with a proven track record in operational and financial management. While deep technical experience in land transactions is not required, an understanding of land protection and stewardship methods is essential. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of inspiring and engaging a wide range of audiences, and will have a strong background in fundraising and development. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the ability to engage underserved communities in conservation efforts, is also a key characteristic of the desired candidate. The role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and work closely with a Board of Trustees, ensuring that the organization continues to be a leading voice for land conservation and expands access to nature and environmental education for all residents.
