Collections Specialist
We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This is a contract to permanent opportunity where you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities: Manage and monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions. Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances. Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate customers and update account records accordingly. Prepare and send collection correspondence to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies. Document account statuses and maintain accurate records of all interactions and payment agreements. Assist in resolving customer service issues related to collections, providing attentive and timely support. Generate monthly reports detailing delinquent accounts and collection activities. Support workout arrangements and write-offs as necessary, ensuring proper documentation. Collaborate with team members to improve collection processes and enhance efficiency. Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel to track and analyze account data. Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in collections or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, with experience in formulas and data analysis. Familiarity with commercial and consumer collections processes. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Experience with platforms like Salesforce is highly desirable. Knowledge of commercial lending and leasing practices is a plus. Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
