Opportunity :
In partnership with state and federally funded workforce development programs, we are offering a six-month, paid On-the-Job Training opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant. This temporary, non-permanent role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to Human Resources operations while supporting the development of foundational administrative and professional skills.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals early in their career who are interested in Human Resources, business administration, or people operations and who are seeking real-world experience in a professional office environment. Participants will work alongside experienced HR team members and gain insight into how employee-related processes are managed within a manufacturing organization.
Under close supervision, the Human Resources Assistant will:
Support day-to-day HR administrative activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with employee record maintenance, supporting onboarding and orientation activities, assisting with data entry and documentation. Supporting HR reporting and filing, and helping coordinate training or employee communications. Participants may also assist with time and attendance support, policy documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Participants will be expected to follow established procedures, communicate professionally, and work collaboratively with internal teams and employees at all levels.
Throughout the program, participants will develop skills in HR fundamentals, workplace professionalism, documentation standards, and professional communication. The role provides exposure to employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, compliance awareness, and the importance of consistency and accuracy in people operations.
Upon completion of the six-month On-the-Job Training program, participants will leave with relevant Human Resources experience, strengthened administrative and professional skill sets, and increased readiness for future roles in HR, recruiting, training coordination, or business operations. This position does not guarantee continued employment; however, the experience gained is intended to support long-term career development.
This position is offered through a workforce development program and includes specific eligibility requirements as defined by the program partner. Eligibility will be confirmed prior to hire. The role is based on-site in a professional office environment and follows a full-time schedule for the duration of the program.The pay range for this role is $18-$25 an hour.
