Job Description:

The Senior Specialist oversees the primary social media accounts to ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organization's priorities. The role also provides strategic direction, consultation, and guidance for social media efforts across institutional and academic units. This role develops and maintains social listening and audience engagement strategies to monitor brand health, identify emerging trends, inform content planning, and support recruitment and awareness goals. The Senior Social Media Communications Specialist will lead the strategy and execution of digital and social media initiatives to elevate the organization's visibility and engagement. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced communications professional who enjoys writing, content creation, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital and social media strategy aligned with organizational goals Manage primary social platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube Create, write, adapt, and publish compelling content to promote events, programs, and initiatives Track engagement metrics and performance data; prepare regular reports and dashboards Support online reputation management and assist with crisis communication planning Collaborate with marketing, communications, enrollment, and academic teams on multimedia content Maintain governance standards, content quality, and digital communications guidelines Assist with social media training sessions and workshops across the organization Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or a related field 5-7 years of experience in writing, social media marketing, or digital communications Proven success developing and executing social media strategies that drive awareness and engagement Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for storytelling Experience managing online communities and engaging diverse audiences Willingness to attend and support a high volume of institutional events and activities Additional Details:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Brandwatch, BigTree Content tools preferred Content is professional, brand-focused, and mission-driven Works closely with photography, digital, and design teams Highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment Perks:
