About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Executive Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of development. This senior leader will serve as the chief advancement officer, setting the vision and strategy for all philanthropic, alumni, and external engagement efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chancellor, the Foundation Board, and community partners to design and lead a comprehensive, transformative campaign that expands access to higher education and strengthens the institution's visibility. Responsibilities include leading a high-performing team, stewarding major and principal gifts, and serving as a trusted ambassador to alumni, donors, and civic leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in university development, with a proven track record in major and principal gift fundraising and leadership of comprehensive campaigns. They should have senior-level experience in a public university and affiliated foundation setting, a solid understanding of nonprofit financial management and compliance, and a history of success in working with governing boards. The role requires an effective communicator and collaborative leader who can inspire teams, build trusted relationships, and is deeply committed to advancing access to higher education and institutional impact.
