is looking for a digitally savvy, results‑driven sales leader to generate new business and expand market share across Northstar Meetings Group’s North American events and integrated media platforms. This role combines strategic hustle with a deep understanding of digital marketing and omnichannel engagement to connect destinations, hotels, and brands with Northstar’s powerful planner audience.
In this role you will lead the sales lifecycle from prospecting and pipeline development to customized proposal creation, campaign strategy, and deal closure, while leveraging analytics, intent data, and performance insights to optimize outcomes. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to build multi‑platform programs that integrate events, content, and digital solutions, while cultivating long‑term client relationships that drive retention, renewal, and measurable growth.
This is a remote position and is open to candidates based in the United States, preferable Florida, the Southeast, or the Midwest.
What You’ll Do
Drive aggressive revenue growth by developing and executing a strategic territory plan that expands sales among existing clients while relentlessly prospecting and securing new business
Contribute to discussions on revenue strategy, portfolio evolution, and organizational growth
Serve as a brand ambassador for Northstar Meetings Group, representing the company with credibility, confidence, and executive presence across the industry
Strong business acumen with the ability to align customer objectives to revenue, growth, and profitability goals
Create proposals and presentations and answer RFPs in a timely manner
Act as a strategic partner to product, marketing, editorial, and analytics teams—bringing market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights to influence product development, packaging, and go‑to‑market strategy
Travel to attend client meetings and industry events to deepen relationships, identify new opportunities, and prospect for future partnerships
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting weekly
Key Qualifications
8+ years of proven success in B2B digital and event business development, preferably within the meetings, travel, hospitality industries
Collaborative teammate with a proven ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing, analytics, and event operations teams, bringing influence, strategic perspective to drive results
Experience in digital and data‑led marketing sales, with the ability to build integrated campaigns that connect digital, content, and event channels for measurable ROI
Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue goals through proactive prospecting, pipeline management, and consultative selling
Strong hunter mentality highly motivated, resilient, and driven by results, with the ability to identify and close new opportunities in a competitive marketplace
Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to executive‑level decision‑makers
Willingness to travel frequently (25-30%) for client meetings, industry events, and Northstar programs
Comfortable using CRM systems (Hubspot or similar) to manage pipeline, forecasting, and reporting
