AE Media is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Media Placement to lead our high-performing Media Buying Team. If you’re passionate about broadcast media and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you! As the Director of Media Placement, you’ll set the vision, strategy, and standards for effective radio and television media investments on both local and national levels. You will lead a talented buying team, foster vendor partnerships, and champion continuous improvements in tools and processes. Your broadcast expertise and leadership will ensure campaign goals are met with excellence, efficiency, and accountability What you’ll do:

Lead, mentor, and grow a dynamic Media Buying Team, fostering a culture of accountability and results Manage recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing development for team members Oversee all aspects of radio and TV media placement strategy, planning, and execution Provide clear buying direction and strategic guidance to meet campaign objectives Direct vendor relationships, including negotiations, contracts, pricing standards, and performance reviews Identify and evaluate new media partners, platforms, and opportunities for improved results Continuously improve tools, technology, and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver actionable insights and performance measurement Align closely with internal stakeholders to support broader organizational goals Ensure accurate, on-time, and on-budget execution, removing obstacles and resolving issues as they arise Communicate strategy, priorities, and performance to stakeholders and leadership Experience you’ll bring:

5–7+ years of radio and/or TV media buying experience Demonstrated team leadership and development skills Strong knowledge of broadcast planning, ratings, inventory, DMAs, and buying software Proven experience managing vendors and high-value negotiations Strategic thinker with strong operational execution Analytical and solutions-oriented approach Bonus Points:

Experience with streaming/CTV or emerging media platforms Familiarity with media buying tools and reporting systems Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field What you’ll get:
