Job Description Summary : To be successful in this role one must be able to oversee general clinic and ASC operations, establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the department.
This job is a full-time, benefited position at Summit Spine & Joint Centers that reports to the Director of Clinical Operations. Your assigned locations will be clinics and ASCs in the central region of North Carolina.
Responsibilities :
Provide leadership for daily general clinic operations, establishing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for clinical and ancillary departments within the state of South Carolina
Project manage initiatives as directed by the Director of Clinic Operations or COO, contributing to process improvement and positive P&L growth
Develop and implement long-range plans with a focus on employee improvement and growth
Participate in the selection and training of all clinic staff to promote positive workplace performance
Participate in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases, and disciplinary actions
Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and employees, promoting staff performance improvement while ensuring leadership is aware of all staff feedback
Partner and collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and Administration to ensure clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows support the overall company mission
Assist in the development and maintenance of de novo locations within the State of South Carolina
Project manage integration of acquisitions or mergers within the State of South Carolina
Serves as a liaison between clinic and external agencies as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities :
Cohesive leadership and customer service skills required
Knowledge of principles and practices of planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a health care organization
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve clinic objectives
Ability to become a core trainer and super user of EHR (EClinicalWorks)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to read, write, and speak in English fluently. Multilingual is appreciated
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to address issues with staff
Ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff
Emotional intelligence and manner while assessing performance of employees/performance standards, implementing change, ensuring accountability, and rewarding achievement
Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software
Education And Experience :
Must be willing to travel to all assigned locations within South Carolina
5+ years of healthcare operations management experience required
Experience using eClinicalWorks preferred
Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
