Become the Nutrition Specialist You Aspire to Be Provide communication and counseling to patients based on physician directives and dietary guidelines. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Assess referral orders to ensure nutritional intake is appropriate. Accurately document relevant information in patients' medical records per established standards. Implement nutritional care plans, adjust menus, and support patients with special dietary needs. Conduct calorie counts and provide meaningful recommendations. Evaluate, revise, and approve menus for nutritional adequacy. Qualifications Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. State licensure is required. Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution. One year of Clinical Dietetics experience is preferred.
