
Job Summary
As a Pricing Analyst at NEFCO, you will play a key role in developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize revenue, margin, and market share. You will analyze complex datasets, monitor competitive landscapes, forecast pricing impacts, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to provide actionable recommendations. Special project work/analysis as assigned.
Job Duties
Troubleshoot pricing and cost issues in real time with management and sales staff in response to customers’ needs
Perform sales audit on prior day’s sales activity; identify and resolve pricing issues that arise from COST/COGS
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive pricing analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats
Analyze historical sales data, customer behavior, elasticity, and cost structures to recommend optimal pricing for products/services
Build and maintain pricing models, forecasting tools, and profitability simulators (using Excel, SQL, Python/R, or similar)
Support pricing decisions for new product launches, promotions, bundling, discounts, and contract negotiations
Monitor and report on pricing performance metrics, margin trends, win/loss rates, and revenue impact
Partner with cross-functional teams to align pricing with go-to-market strategy and business objectives
Prepare clear, insightful presentations and reports for leadership, translating complex data into strategic recommendations
Identify and implement process improvements in pricing workflows and data governance
Stay current on industry trends, economic factors, and advanced pricing methodologies (value-based, dynamic, subscription, etc.)
Required Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (although industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, modeling); experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau/Power BI, or similar tools is beneficial
Solid understanding of pricing strategies (cost-plus, value-based, competitive, dynamic pricing) and market dynamics
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Solar Eclipse ERP software
2–5 years of experience in pricing analysis, revenue management, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
Experience within Industrial Distribution and Construction Products
Knowledge of statistical analysis, regression modeling, or price elasticity techniques
Previous exposure to A/B testing or experimentation in pricing
