Allianz Global Investors is seeking a forward-thinking and result-oriented summer intern for the US Fixed Income Research Team. The intern will support the team on a broad range of responsibilities from company, sector and thematic angles.
The position will be based in our New York City office, with hybrid working in-line with company guidelines.
Within this role, you will learn about the US Investment Grade and High Yield Bond Markets, interact with research analysts, portfolio managers and traders, and contribute to our analysis in making investment decisions. Learn the basics of corporate fixed income research and how to analyze individual companies and sectors, incorporating macroeconomic factors and sector inputs Support the Senior Analysts and other broader team members on ad hoc requests Undertake company ESG analysis Contribute to sector, company thematic research Participate in company management meetings and earnings calls Perform financial modeling and relative value analysis Help the research team prepare sector presentations Monitor movements in bond markets Work with the research analysts to identify investment opportunities Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
What you bring: Currently enrolled towards a business/finance/analytical undergraduate or graduate degree Coursework in basic accounting and/or financial statement analysis is a plus Proven strong analytical and conceptual capabilities Excellent communication skills and strong writing skills with clear, concise articulation of ideas and concepts Flexibility to cover different subjects and help team members as required Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
Compensation:
$30 per hour
