Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated

Trading Associate

to support our

Structured Credit Products

desk. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an understanding of structured credit markets, and a keen interest in financial modeling and trading strategies. This role will involve working closely with senior traders, structurers, and risk managers to enhance trading performance and optimize portfolio strategies. This is a full time, on-site position in our Boulder, CO office.

Key Responsibilities

Support traders in analyzing and executing trades in structured credit products, including ABS, MBS, CLOs, and other structured products.

Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing, risk, and return profiles of structured credit instruments.

Monitor market trends, economic data, and industry developments to provide real-time insights and trading recommendations.

Perform pre-trade and post-trade analysis, ensuring efficient execution and risk management.

Support portfolio optimization efforts by identifying relative value opportunities and risk-adjusted trade ideas.

Collaborate with structuring and research teams to enhance trading strategies and quantitative models.

Maintain and improve trading tools, databases, and analytics platforms.

Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing market developments and trade performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in trading, research, or structuring within structured credit markets preferred.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel. Experience with Python, VBA, or SQL a plus.

Knowledge of fixed income products, credit markets, and securitized products.

Familiarity with financial modeling, risk management frameworks, and pricing methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Prior experience on a structured products trading desk or structured credit analytics/research role.

Exposure to trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Intex, or Yield Book.

CFA or FRM certification is a plus.

Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting structured credit markets.

Salary / Benefits

Expected yearly compensation: $150,000 - $250,000
