Job Purpose The Senior Paralegal in the E-Advanced and New Business Department provides high-level legal support to attorneys and business teams engaged in new business initiatives, advanced EV and other sustainable technology projects, and complex corporate transactions. This role demands substantial independence, advanced legal knowledge, and the ability to manage multifaceted casework and agreements in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Accountabilities

Contract Review and Other Legal Support: Assist attorney and clients with providing high quality legal services and advice; provide agreement support to attorneys on matters; conduct initial review of standard agreements such as NDA and Master Services Agreements

Department Contract Inbox Management: Manage and coordinate contract intake inbox; collaborate with procurement and attorneys to manage matters

Projects: Participate in the planning and execution as assigned of Business Unit and Department level business goals as needed; provide regulatory and corporate support as needed

Back Up: Provide back up to other paralegals

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved Paralegal program required

Minimum of 5 years paralegal experience in a corporate law department or large firm handling corporate transactional and contract matters

Strong negotiation and analytical skills are required

Experience evaluating and verifying data to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations

Time management skills, flexibility, attention to detail and being a self-starter are essential

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Exposure to areas of the law he/she will be supporting

Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Ability to understand and work with different computer applications and databases

Familiarity with contract management and related tools
