We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in

Minneapolis

and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. As the

Health & Benefits Consultant , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of employee benefits for our clients. In this dynamic position, you will perform in-depth analyses for larger, complex clients, collaborating with Mercer subject matter experts to deliver exceptional results. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of quality and accuracy in all deliverables. We will count on you to: Provide financial, contract, and administrative analysis while managing portions of client projects and addressing ad hoc operational requests Support financial review and funding analysis, including underwriting, data analytics, and collaboration with actuaries Contribute to client strategy by interpreting benchmark data, presenting insights, and ensuring plan and program changes align with client objectives Manage project quality, timelines, and deliverables; delegate to and review work from junior team members Coordinate internal specialty resources to ensure deliverables meet client goals, deadlines, and professional standards Lead preparation, peer review, and delivery of clear, concise, client-facing communications and reports Work directly with clients to manage the request for proposal (RFP) process with health insurance carriers and internal analysts Establish and manage carrier and vendor relationships to support benefits administration, compliance, and plan implementation What you need to have: Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in health & benefits, preferably in a consulting environment Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize by level of urgency Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) What makes you stand out? Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,500 to $137,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
