As we advance toward ambitious 2026 growth milestones, we are evolving our legal function from reactive compliance to strategic infrastructure. We seek an accomplished compounding-healthcare regulatory attorney to serve as the strategic second-in-command within our Legal department—a visible executive partner who will architect regulatory frameworks, embed deeply with operations, and drive the next phase of enterprise growth.

Core Responsibilities Compounding & FDA Regulatory Strategy
Serve as the principal internal authority on 503A and 503B compounding regulatory frameworks
Provide strategic counsel on FDA compliance, inspection readiness, and enforcement risk mitigation
Guide FTC marketing and promotional compliance initiatives
Advise on Board of Pharmacy compliance across multi-state operations
Proactively identify and address regulatory exposure before escalation
Embedded Operational Leadership
Participate actively in Quality, Compliance, and Manufacturing leadership meetings
Cultivate collaborative relationships with operational executives
Deliver real-time, business-aligned legal guidance that enables execution
Transform Legal from a reactive review function to a forward-looking strategic partner
Compliance Infrastructure & Enterprise Risk Management
Design and strengthen enterprise-wide compliance systems and internal controls
Partner on audit response, remediation planning, and corrective action implementation
Assess regulatory risk across facilities, operations, and expansion initiatives
Build scalable compliance frameworks to support aggressive growth trajectory
Healthcare Corporate & Strategic Advisory Provide strategic counsel on:
Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) doctrine
Telehealth operations and multi-state licensure strategies
MSO-Physician Collaboration (MSO-PC) structural arrangements
Physician compensation models and alignment strategies
HIPAA and healthcare data privacy compliance
Analyze and advise on regulatory frameworks including:
Stark Law and physician self-referral prohibitions
Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
Civil Monetary Penalties Law
Medicare and Medicaid regulatory requirements
Support strategic initiatives including:
Geographic and service line expansion
Strategic partnerships and joint ventures
Organizational structure optimization
Required Qualifications
8+ years of healthcare law experience with demonstrated regulatory expertise
Deep fluency in compounding pharmacy regulation (503A/503B experience strongly preferred)
Proven experience advising on FDA and FTC regulatory matters
Active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction
Solutions-oriented mindset with comfort operating in high-growth, dynamic environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within private equity-backed healthcare organizations
Dual credentials (Pharmacist + JD) highly valued
Prior in-house experience embedded with Quality or Manufacturing functions
Track record of reducing external counsel dependency and building internal capabilities
Multi-state healthcare regulatory experience
Location & Work Environment
Location: Houston, TX (required; relocation support available and may be structured as sign-on incentive)
