Bowman has an opportunity for a Designer III, Mechanical (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Houston, TX.

Purpose Provide essential technical support, create comprehensive designs, and ensure compliance with project requirements while working in collaboration with engineers, architects, and other professionals. Expected to employ computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify project plans and use their experience to solve problems, pay attention to detail, and apply their in-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industry best practices. Your extensive experience in mechanical engineering design will be instrumental in driving innovation and achieving project goals.

Responsibilities:
Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches.
Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards.
Support equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
Present design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Plan, forecast and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
Prepares, reviews, and approves mechanical equipment and piping BOMs and designs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent preferred.
Four to Seven (4-7) years of relevant experience.
Experience with AutoCad Vault preferred.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
High level of personal integrity.
Strong relationship capabilities.
Proficient in both written and spoken.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
Partially indoor professional office environment which may exposure to include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
Partially outdoor work environment which may include exposure to adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
Mobility around an office
Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Frequent and prolonged use of data collection equipment and/or drones, necessitating walking the assigned study area to complete data collection over the course of several hours.
Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20
