Position Title: Key Account Manager (Associate Director) — Hospital Neuroscience

Territory: Southern California (LA-San Diego)

Therapeutic Area: COBENFY

Responsibilities

Gain a deep understanding of customer objectives, challenges, stakeholder/influence mapping, and market dynamics to translate into actionable strategic and tactical account plans that optimize engagement and outcomes in Neuropsychiatry.

Lead the development and execution of account-specific strategies; partner with cross-functional teams to support adoption within hospital systems and health systems.

Integrate and prioritize account plans and coordinate activities across matrix partners to ensure stellar account management and meaningful outcomes.

Generate optimal access to COBENFY by supporting formulary management, the P&T process, and advocating for formulary improvement.

Understand account decision-making on protocols/pathways; monitor changes and advocate for open access to COBENFY on pathways and protocols.

Coordinate with HIT Specialists to support EMR/EHR updates reflecting updated clinical pathways, hospital protocols and order sets as needed.

Engage matrix teams and hospital decision makers to build economically accretive solutions benefiting population health.

Lead discussions on hospital reimbursement models tied to outcomes; leverage economic data to demonstrate COBENFY’s value proposition.

Serve as the BMS Neuroscience contact and maintain long-term relationships with senior administrators; educate key decision makers on COBENFY reimbursement dynamics in hospitals.

Analyze market data to assess opportunities and regional health care trends; conduct internal strategy discussions and account reviews.

Identify customer pain points and inefficiencies to enable COBENFY access.

Support dissemination of system-level decisions within accounts; operate in full compliance with laws and BMS policies; uphold high ethical standards.

This role requires the individual to be in the field >80% of the time.

Qualifications & Experience

BS/BA degree required.

Minimum of 8 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare experience required.

Hospital and IDN experience; regional or national account management preferred.

Direct health system provider and payer experience required.

Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, including hospitals, IDNs, and payer dynamics.

Experience with hospital payment models, P&T process, formulary access and reimbursement dynamics, EMR/EHR systems, and related operations.

Proven ability to develop customer-centric approaches and leverage cross-disciplinary resources to achieve objectives.

Track record of growth or successful field execution in pharma; ability to lead without direct authority and cross-functional collaboration.

Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Psychiatry/Schizophrenia expertise and sales leadership/marketing experience preferred.

Prior people management experience preferred; proven success in access, marketing, or sales required.

A valid driver’s license within the 50 United States is required.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation Overview: Field – United States – US: $166,350 – $201,571. The starting range for a full-time employee (FTE) is listed above; additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available. Final compensation is based on experience.
