Job Summary The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Social Media Ambassador, Live Well UNG- Institutional Student Worker. The University of North Georgia is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Ambassador to support the Live Well UNG initiative in promoting its programs, services, and events. This part-time role provides a unique opportunity to showcase a diverse range of health, wellness, and community engagement initiatives. The Social Media Ambassador will collaborate with professional and student staff to create captivating content that aligns with Live Well’s commitment to foster healthy, balanced lifestyles for the UNG campus community.

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Capture high-quality photos and videos at Live Well events, programs, and facilities to create engaging social media posts.

Event Coverage: Attend and document Live Well events, including those outside of regular office hours and weekends, as needed.

Travel to requested appearance: Travel to and cover events or appearances as requested, ensuring dynamic coverage of Live Well’s activities. Travel may be required to all five campuses on occasion.

Work closely with both professional and student staff across various departments to ensure content aligns with Live Well’s goals and messaging.

Social Media Management: Coordinate with the Live Well Communications Team to plan, review, and schedule posts on Live Well social media platforms.

Trend Engagement: Stay current with social media trends, tools, and strategies, recommending innovative ways to increase engagement and reach.

Brand Alignment: Ensure all content adheres to Live Well's branding guidelines and reflects the department's values and mission.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

One year personal or professional social media marketing, photography, videography or editing skills.

Meta Apps, Apple product usage, camera operations, editing skills through Canva and Adobe.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.

Must be in good academic standing (2.5 GPA).

This is not a supervisory position.

This position does not have any financial responsibilities.

This position will be required to drive.

This role is not considered a position of trust.

This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).

This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.

This position does not require security clearance.
