Primary Purpose
This is a full-time on-site role located on the USF Tampa Campus. This position prepares technical and non-technical visual presentations through designing art and copy layouts for publication. It combines traditional and digital design work with the oversight of and management of social media and digital communications efforts.

Responsibilities
Primary Job Duties
• Provide graphic design support across mediums including print, digital, web, email, and social platforms.
• Coordinates with creative personnel, marketing, and other graphic designers to gather information and materials needed for design.
• Manages social media marketing including scheduling, posting, engagement tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
• Produces a wide range of visual content: digital newsletters, websites, posters, flyers, event programs, and brochures.
• Illustrates established design concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding
arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Attends designated events, capture, and edit photos and/or videos/reels for social media.
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment.
• Coordination of photography, artwork, and printing.
• Support email marketing and web design efforts in line with campaign and enrollment goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field and 0-2 years of related experience.
• Requires demonstrated ability to create innovative visual solutions and digital/graphical design.
• Submission of a professional portfolio with application.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of and utilization of applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe • Creative Suite, HTML and Canva.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and time management skills.
• SB1310 Degree Equivalency: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
• Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/1310) is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.
• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
(a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
(b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
(c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
(d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
(e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of and utilizes applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML.

Working Conditions
• Environment - Typical indoor environment/office setting.
• Physical Requirements - climbing, standing, stooping, and/or typing; Ability to lift up to 20lbs as needed.
