Salary Range: $102,440.00 To $174,200.00 Annually
Job Summary The Portfolio Banker works closely with Relationship Managers to evaluate the financial information and needs of prospective and existing borrowers. The Portfolio Banker is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information, for conducting extensive in-depth company, financial, and industry analysis, and performing due diligence to evaluate risk/return parameters of financing transactions as well as preparing Loan Worksheet Addendums and Speed Memo Addendums. The Portfolio Banker regularly interfaces with Clients, Relationship Managers, Credit Administrators and Senior Management, and provides recommendations relating to credit extension decisions. Post loan boarding duties include following for financial reporting and financial covenant compliance and monitoring financial trends of borrowers and value of collateral. The Portfolio Banker is usually designated as the secondary point of contact for specific relationships and is to provide exemplary service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform credit analysis, credit write-ups, aid as necessary in documentation, review documentation for all credits, and Relationship Managers as needed.
As directed or as the opportunity presents itself, meet with new customers.
Monitor credit risk by periodically evaluating financial trends, credit bureau reports, pay habits, and other sources of information of the borrower and guarantor(s).
Develop lending skills to complement F&M’s lending philosophy and style while causing positive growth in F&M’s deposit and loan portfolios.
Cross sell all bank products and services.
Be in compliance with all Federal Reserve Banking laws and regulations
Adhere and promote the mission of Farmers & Merchants Bank.
Be in compliance with all F&M’s policies and procedures.
Be an advocate for Farmers and Merchants Bank with all you come into contact with both professionally and personally.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.
