Job description:
Mechanical CAD Designer Complete Automation designs state of the art paint and fluid delivery systems. We are looking for a motivated Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team at our Lake Orion, Michigan global corporate office in northern Oakland County.
The Mechanical CAD Designer will work collaboratively to develop high quality paint and fluid delivery systems, high pressure and process piping, storage tanks and research & development projects.
Responsibilities
Using Autodesk Inventor to develop 3D models
Creating layouts, detail drawings, and routing plans
Updating manufacturing drawings (detail and assemblies)
Providing all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture
Working in project groups to complete projects
Working to project schedules
Required Skills
3+ years of CAD design experience
Experience using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoDesk Construction Cloud software
Mechanical aptitude, including pipe routing
Working knowledge of standard mechanical drafting practices and 3D solid modeling
High School diploma or equivalent and Associate’s Degree or continuing education
Attention to detail, outward thinking and well organized
Ability to work cooperatively with both internal engineering and production teams and customers
Self‑motivated and problem solver
Some occasional travel required to customer locations to assess site conditions to aid in design needs
