Livingston Pipe and Tube, Inc., a trusted carbon steel pipe and tube distributor based in Staunton, Illinois, is seeking a detail‑oriented Data Entry Specialist to play a key role in keeping our operations accurate, efficient, and moving forward.
In this role, you’ll do more than enter numbers. You’ll transform raw data into organized, reliable information that supports day‑to‑day decisions. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining spreadsheets, transcribing and verifying data, and assisting with data collection across departments. We’re seeking someone who brings strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills to the table and takes pride in delivering accurate, meaningful results.
Key Responsibilities of our Data Entry Specialist
Perform data entry tasks, including inputting and updating information into computer systems
Transcribe data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and maintaining records
Conduct data collection and research as needed
Support order entry processes by ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders
Assist with IT help desk duties
Qualifications
Proficient in clerical duties and general office procedures; strong math skills
Strong knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with transcribing data from different sources
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong organizational skills to maintain files and records in an orderly manner
IT help desk experience or desire to learn
