Position Purpose
The Online Video Producer is a multi-faceted role that helps design, develop, and deliver high-quality instructional videos for The Home Depot’s Customer Workshops program. A core responsibility of this role is scriptwriting, working with internal team members to develop clear, engaging instructional scripts that translate complex concepts into accessible, customer-friendly content. With a strong emphasis on planning and organization, this position also helps with scheduling, shoot logistics, directing, and postproduction. The producer leverages industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the content achieves educational goals, aligns with brand standards, and meets project objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
20% Qualifies customer via a thorough needs assessment process, helps clients identify communication goals. This individual stays connected to their "client" throughout the process, providing updates and managing expectations 20% Provides creative direction on production approaches and concepts to meet the needs of the project 20% Manages total scope: think 'big picture' while maintaining focus on specific details of a production (background action, talent performance, licensing and legal concerns, visual accuracy of shots, etc.) 15% Writes scripts, interviews subject matter experts (SMEs), provide edit direction and oversee all post-production work 15% Plans and executes all logistical aspects of productions: schedule freelance crews, audition on‑screen talent and equipment rental, etc. May also include managing locations - site surveys, approvals & location fees and acquiring necessary permits. Provide direction to both video crew and on‑camera talent 10% Manages the varied and complicated aspects of video production in a fast-paced and challenging corporate environment with very little direction. Make decisions that impact projects while adhering to pertinent company policies, staying on budget. Direct Manager/Direct Reports

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors. Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, English, Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of video production experience, preferably within advertising, entertainment, corporate sectors, or related industries. Advanced end-to-end video production skills, with expertise spanning pre-production, on‑set coordination, and post‑production for multi‑platform instructional content. Strong project management skills including schedule development and workflow optimization. Strong visual storytelling and scriptwriting abilities with an instructional design sensibility, capable of transforming complex concepts into clear, engaging, and brand‑aligned narratives for diverse audiences. Experience applying brand guidelines, legal, licensing, and accessibility standards consistently throughout content production and delivery. Highly effective and collaborative communicator, adept at fostering positive relationships across team members, business partners, and key stakeholders. Proficiency in industry‑standard production software, video and audio equipment, and digital asset management tools to support efficient, high‑quality content creation. Comfortable working in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments with agility and adaptability—able to manage evolving requirements, make sound decisions, and thrive under shifting deadlines and business needs. Innovative problem‑solving and continuous learning mindset, staying current with trends and best practices in instructional video, workshop delivery, and creative production. Working knowledge of the home‑improvement industry and general understanding of Do‑It‑Yourself (DIY) projects is a plus. Minimum Education
