
Estimating & Proposal Lead

Wolf Line Construction is looking for a dedicated Bid Manager to work with and support the Business Development team in the Charleston, South Carolina Office. This position is responsible for leading the responses to all RFP’s, RFI’s, and pre-qualifications.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of proposal preparations, ensuring quality, and timely submittal.
Communicate, collaborate, and track deadlines for project submittals and follow through with the project team to completion
Quarterback the team through all proposal activities
Review and understand the details and submittal requirements for proposal
Maintain tracking spreadsheet of all bid information and report weekly during bid reviews with staff
Communicate with management team during the procurement process to ensure requirements are being met accurately
Communicate and coordinate with project team regarding upcoming projects, pre-bid meetings and bid submittals
Coordinate incoming bid requests and team assignments for bid preparation and track to completion
Responsible for the organization and final presentation of bid documents.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations and industry standards
Conduct post-bid analysis and debrief sessions to identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned for future bids
Continuously refine and improve bid-processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management
Contact suppliers/vendors for pricing on proposals, including maintaining a network of trusted subcontract vendors
Additional duties as requested
Qualifications
Construction industry experience and knowledge required; Utility Construction Services preferred
Bid Proposal experience required
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous bid /estimating roles in a fast-paced construction environment,
Military experience may be considered in place of job experience.
Ability to work on a team and be able to communicate, follow directions and help others as needed
Dependable and possess ability to adhere to daily work schedule
Communicate and interact with internal employees, colleagues, and clients in a professional and timely manner
Proven business and excellent technical writing skills
Excellent computer skills beyond basic Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work and think independently to prioritize work to meet deadlines
High school diploma or GED
Travel to different job sites as required throughout the USA
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, required; OR two (2) or more years of experience in one or more of the following: proposal related, writing, marketing and communications, project management, or sales experience with a high school diploma or GED, required
