About the Position
This is a Regular Part‑Time, Non‑Appropriated Fund (NAF) position based in Marketing at Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, LA. Guaranteed hours are 20 per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Retirement, 401(k), Sick Leave, and Annual Leave.
Major Duties
Responsible for operations and support for the commercial sponsorship program at the 2d Force Support Squadron, Barksdale AFB. Garners sponsorship support to underwrite 2FSS programs and events, assists the Marketing Director in creating marketing strategies, and identifies and cultivates continuing sponsorships by providing sponsors with professional marketing and support services.
Serves as a representative for contract negotiation and administration of contracts and programs between sponsors and 2FSS. Develops and implements CSP plan for base‑wide special events and all 2FSS facility MWR programs.
Conducts commercial sponsorship training for FSS personnel, provides guidance on commercial sponsorship policy/regulations to base stakeholders, and performs commercial sponsorship support through office duties, advertising/promotion, posting event packages, evaluating responses, and preparing briefings as needed.
Provides Air Force‑level reporting on status and progress of the program, evaluates response to CSP program, and makes/recommends appropriate adjustments. Performs other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Maintains awareness of programs/events eligible for commercial sponsorship, develops solicitation packages, negotiates terms of sponsorship agreements, and develops pricing/rate structures for paid advertising in NAFI media. Sells advertising in FSS media funded with NAFs and facilitates the acceptance of goods, services and cash donated to the NAFI in support of MWR programs.
