Outside Sales Estimator — Residential Gutters & Gutter Protection Commission-Based Gutter Estimator / Sales Professional We are a growing, well-established residential gutter and gutter cover company looking for a field Estimator who can meet with homeowners, diagnose problems, and confidently recommend solutions. We’re now hiring our first dedicated Estimator in this next phase to focus on our higher‑margin retail (homeowner) business as we grow. This is a commission‑based role built for someone who wants their income tied directly to their results while treating every customer like family.
What we offer
Commission‑only structure with upside earning potential Quality company‑generated leads (no door knocking to start) Training on our products, measuring system, sales process, and pricing rules Opportunities for advancement and management positions Support from the office and install teams, so you are not alone in the field A clear scorecard so you always know where you stand Tiered training pay to get you started Responsibilities
Drive to 2–5 appointments per day in a defined territory Inspect existing gutter systems and assess how they fit with the roof and fascia, as well as surrounding trees. Diagnose issues and design solutions that actually fix the problem Measure and diagram gutter runs and downspouts accurately Present written estimates on site or same day Explain options clearly in a low‑pressure, consultative way (no gimmicks, no scare tactics) Follow our standardized pricing structure on every job — no artificial deals, no discretionary discounts Enter notes, photos, and estimates into our apps the same day Follow up on open estimates at set intervals Coordinate with production so jobs install cleanly and on time How we sell
We use a published pricing and options structure so every homeowner gets the same deal for the same work. No “today only” fake specials, no artificial deals, and no estimator‑specific pricing. No discretionary discounts. If the price changes, it’s because the scope changed, not because someone “worked a deal.” Your job is to diagnose accurately, educate clearly, recommend what you’d do in your own home, and let the customer decide. We win by creating enough value that customers feel good paying our price, not by cutting it. Qualifications
Proven experience in construction, roofing, siding, gutters, or a similar field of work. Broad familiarity is helpful; we can train you on the specifics. Strong problem‑solving skills and basic 3D/spatial reasoning Excellent listener who can identify customer needs before pitching High professional integrity — you tell the truth even when it costs you a sale Comfortable selling in a low‑pressure environment with consistent pricing (no haggling, no discretionary discounts or “special deals”) Professional driving record and reliable vehicle Comfortable on ladders and around roofs Tech comfortable: phones, tablets, apps, basic measurements Organized: keeps mileage, notes, and paperwork tight How you’re wired
You like having a clear goal and taking responsibility for hitting it. You don’t need someone standing over your shoulder — you plan your day, run your appointments, and keep your follow‑ups tight. Commission doesn’t scare you; it motivates you. You’d rather be paid more for producing more. You stay steady when a customer says “no,” a day cancels, or the weather shifts — you adjust and keep moving. Compensation
$85,000 per year
