
The Acosta Group Connected Commerce team is seeking a Strategist to join our growing, innovative omnichannel practice. In this role, you’ll shape creative and content strategy for brands across commerce touchpoints—translating client briefs into strategic frameworks to achieve the brief’s objectives and guide creative development. As a consultant and collaborator, you’ll work fluidly across external clients and internal teams to establish the strategic vision for Big Idea and Channel Plan briefs.
Essential Functions of this Position:
Review research across multiple sources (e.g. Mintel, Numerator, Kantar) and distill key learnings and deliver actionable takeaways.
Develop a broad range of strategic deliverables based on the situation (e.g. shopper profiles, competitive assessments, creative concept briefs, comms frameworks & hierarchies).
Create simple go to market strategies out of complex business challenges.
Keep pulse on cultural/ category/ industry / retail trends.
Develop trend reports and periodic thought leadership pieces for the company.
Author compelling strategic narratives and deliver engaging presentations to small and large groups.
Be prepared and comfortable defending your position but also collaborative and open to feedback.
Build solid, trusted relationships with team members, and clients.
Manage time and deliver programs within projected quote, and timelines.
Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business.
Engage with clients and work collaboratively to exceed expectations.
Experience Requirement:
University Degree and/or College Diploma in the related area of Marketing/Communications
3-5 years agency (or related) experience (commerce / shopper agency preferred)
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
Critical thinking capable of strategic leadership
Strong understanding of principles specific to brand/shopper/ commerce marketing.
Ability to work collaboratively in both a team environment and independently.
Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
Able to see the bigger picture and keen attention to detail.
Demonstrates initiative with ability to solve problems with little guidance.
Strong organization and time management skills to navigate competing priorities.
