About the Role Our client is seeking a Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager to drive revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and build a scalable account management function across their regional footprint. This role plays a critical part in expanding market presence while ensuring alignment between sales strategy and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and relationship building through proposal development, contract negotiation, and close

Identify and secure new commercial landscaping opportunities across Maryland, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and North Carolina

Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, developers, general contractors, and municipal clients

Conduct site walks and client consultations to assess needs and recommend tailored service solutions

Develop and manage a disciplined sales pipeline aligned with short- and long-term growth objectives

Partner closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping and consistent service delivery

Represent the organization at industry events and trade shows, supporting brand visibility and relationship developmentCultivate and manage existing client relationships to drive retention, service expansion, and long-term satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the commercial landscaping industry

Proven ability to grow accounts, manage pipelines, and close complex commercial opportunities

Established network within property management, construction, or real estate development sectors preferred

Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching account managers or sales team members

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple states

Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite; LMN or Aspire experience is a plus

Willingness and ability to travel regionally, including trade shows, a few times per month
