The Opportunity Here\'s the situation: 150,000 people have taken our assessment. Zero of them can find us on YouTube when they search to understand their results. Meanwhile, every comparable tool—Enneagram, MBTI, CliftonStrengths—has built thriving YouTube ecosystems where users spend hours going down the rabbit hole, deepening their understanding and sharing with friends.
We\'re hiring a YouTube Content Lead to build our channel from the ground up. You\'ll own the strategy, the production pipeline, and the metrics. You\'ll work directly with our founder to translate fascinating personal insights into content people actually want to watch—and share.
This isn\'t about posting occasional videos. It\'s about building a content engine that becomes the go-to destination for anyone who wants to understand their values and live more authentically.
Responsibilities
Build the Foundation:
Develop and execute a comprehensive YouTube content strategy aligned with our assessment methodology
Build the Foundation:
Create a library of cornerstone content explaining each of the 16 values in our inventory
Build the Foundation:
Produce flagship videos on our proprietary concepts (Authenticity Gap, Conflicts & Harmonies, values comparison)
Own the Production Pipeline:
Manage end-to-end video production: scripting, filming, editing, thumbnails, SEO optimization, publishing
Own the Production Pipeline:
Coordinate studio time and filming schedules with our founder and team
Own the Production Pipeline:
Build and manage relationships with freelance editors, designers, and other production support as needed
Drive Growth:
Own channel analytics and report on performance weekly
Drive Growth:
Optimize content based on retention data, search trends, and audience feedback
Drive Growth:
Develop YouTube Shorts strategy to complement long-form content
Drive Growth:
Identify opportunities for viral/shareable content formats
Connect Content to Business:
Integrate YouTube into the user journey (pre-assessment awareness, post-assessment deepening)
Connect Content to Business:
Collaborate with marketing on cross-platform content distribution
Connect Content to Business:
Surface insights from comments and engagement to inform product development
Who You Are You're YouTube-native.
You understand the algorithm not as an abstract concept but as a living system you\'ve learned to work with. You know why some videos take off and others don\'t. You\'ve studied what makes educational and personality-type content succeed on the platform.
You've built something.
Whether it\'s your own channel, a client\'s channel, or a brand\'s presence—you\'ve taken a YouTube property from small to meaningful. You can point to specific decisions you made and the results they produced.
You're a skilled producer.
You can write a script, direct a shoot, give feedback on an edit, and design a thumbnail. You don\'t need to be an expert at everything, but you need to be competent across the production workflow and know when to bring in specialists.
You care about the content.
Self-discovery, values, purpose, living authentically—this isn\'t just a job to you. You\'re genuinely interested in helping people understand themselves better.
You're organized and autonomous.
You\'ll have significant ownership and creative freedom. That means you need to manage your own time, hit deadlines, and proactively solve problems without constant oversight.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in YouTube content strategy and production
Demonstrated track record of growing a YouTube channel (show us the numbers)
Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, analytics, and algorithm dynamics
Experience producing educational, lifestyle, or personality/self-improvement content preferred
Proficiency with video editing software; ability to produce polished content independently or manage editors effectively
Exceptional project management and communication skills
Based in or willing to relocate to New York (hybrid role with in-studio filming required)
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($90,000–$130,000 range depending on qualifications)
