Video and Radio Producer. >
You’ll wear many hats across pre‑production, live production, and post. Ideal candidates live for news, thrive in the control room, and can direct, run the prompter, guide talent, book guests, and coordinate a live show.
Responsibilities Radio and Television Producer Responsibilities
Content Development:
Collaborate with the show’s host and editorial team to conceptualize, research, and develop content for each episode. Monitor current political events, trends, and breaking news to inform content decisions.
Segment Planning:
Plan and organize each episode’s segments, interviews, and discussions. Work closely with guests, experts, and contributors to coordinate their participation in the show.
Scriptwriting: Write, edit, and review scripts (anything written out for hosts to read: ins and outs, ad reads, promotional material, or news reports) for the show, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and engaging storytelling.
Production Coordination:
Manage the technical and logistical aspects of production, including coordination with camera operators, directors, and technical crews. Ensure smooth and efficient studio and broadcast operations.
Visual and Audio Elements:
Oversee the selection and integration of graphics, images, video clips, and sound bites to enhance the show’s visual and auditory impact.
Guest Booking:
Identify, secure, and maintain relationships with high‑profile guests, experts, and commentators to support ongoing and future programming.
Quality Control & Journalistic Integrity:
Uphold rigorous standards by fact‑checking content, ensuring balanced/unbiased reporting, and mitigating risks in politically sensitive topics.
Audience Engagement:
Develop and implement strategies to engage the audience through social media, viewer feedback, and interactive on‑air elements.
