Freelance Architectural Designer

Novel Terra is seeking a freelance architectural designer to support ongoing and upcoming projects on a project-by-project basis. This is an independent contractor role suited for individuals who are comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with our core team. This role is primarily studio-based, and candidates should be available for regular in-person coordination at our Providence office. Ideal applicants will have: Professional degree in Architecture Several years of professional experience contributing to projects across multiple phases, from early design through construction Strong proficiency in Revit and 3D modeling tools (such as Rhino or SketchUp), along with Adobe Creative Suite Experience in producing construction documents and coordinating with consultants Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methods is preferred Experience with adaptive reuse, mixed-use, commercial, and residential projects is preferred Ability to manage time and deliverables independently while remaining communicative and collaborative Strong design sensibility, creativity, and attention to detail Please emailinfo@novel-terra.comwith the subject line “Freelance Designer_Your Name” Attach your CV and portfolio in PDF format (under 10 MB).
