We're inviting professionals to join us in shaping the future of medicine through our groundbreaking mRNA technology.As Regional Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of the commercial performance of Moderna’s vaccine portfolio across your assigned regions in Germany, operating well beyond the scope of a traditional regional sales role.You will act as a true regional business owner, translating national strategy into high-impact regional execution while continuously evolving how Moderna engages with physicians, vaccination centers, and pharmacies.This role combines strategic territory leadership with hands-on field execution, requiring a strong ability to define regional priorities, drive performance, and adapt to local market dynamics such as seasonality, vaccination programs, and urban versus rural coverage.You will shape your region as a frontrunner for modern, scalable, and digital-first commercial engagement models, leveraging data, insights, and innovative formats to maximize reach and impact.As a visible regional ambassador for Moderna, you will champion new ways of working, act as a role model for digital and data-driven execution, and ensure that regional activity consistently reflects Moderna’s ambition and standards.This is a field-based role in Germany with home-office flexibility, requiring extensive travel within the assigned region and occasional national travel.**Here’s What You’ll Do****Your key responsibilities will be:*** Full accountability for regional sales performance, revenue delivery, and market share objectives across Moderna’s vaccine portfolio* End-to-end ownership of regional business planning and execution, fully aligned with national strategy and adapted to regional market realities* Definition of regional priorities, performance targets, and execution plans to maximize coverage and commercial impact* Driving effective deployment of resources across territories to ensure optimal reach, frequency, and customer engagement* Continuous monitoring of performance metrics, translating outcomes into corrective actions and forward-looking execution strategies**Your responsibilities will also include:*** Establishing and expanding strategic partnerships with physicians, vaccination centers, and pharmacies, moving beyond traditional engagement approaches* Designing and implementing innovative engagement models, including digital HCP interactions, hybrid formats, pharmacy-led initiatives, and scalable online/offline solutions* Acting as a regional advocate for digital, data-driven, and technology-enabled commercial execution, including exposure to and adoption of advanced analytics and GenAI-supported tools* Continuously analyzing regional market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs, converting insights into clear action plans* Close cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and Commercial Excellence to ensure aligned and compliant execution**The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:*** **“We behave like owners. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to digital-first thinking, leveraging data, advanced analytics, and emerging GenAI-enabled tools to evolve how customers are engaged and how commercial impact is delivered at scale.**Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)*** Completed university degree in business administration, pharmaceutical sciences, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification* **5–7+ years of professional experience** in pharmaceutical field sales, territory, or regional management; experience in vaccines or infectious diseases strongly preferred* Proven experience in **leading, steering, and developing a field force** or cross-territory commercial teams* Demonstrated success in building and scaling new commercial channels beyond traditional sales models* Strong digital affinity with hands-on experience using CRM systems, e-detailing, virtual HCP engagement, and digital communication tools* Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ownership mentality and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment* High willingness to travel and flexibility in a field-based role* Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills; **fluent German and English required****Pay & Benefits****At Moderna, we believe that when you feel your best, you can do your best work.
