Description Responsible for directing and managing all Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) and their activities in order to meet sales, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales objectives for accounts assigned to self, as well as those assigned to Outside Sales Representatives

Assign individual customer accounts to Sales Representatives

Review sales territories

Establish sales objectives by Sales Representative and account

Monitor account performance

Identify target accounts and action plans to increase sales.

Achieve gross margin objectives

Timely resolution of customer complaints

Monthly reconciliation of customer consignment inventories

Address pricing, product or customer service issues with customers

Sales Representative performance evaluations and account reviews done semi-annually

Review and approve monthly Sales Representative commissions

Monitor sales call reports

Work with International on specific product / pricing challenges

Help establish and develop relationships with salesperson’s accounts

Sales Representative Training – sales skills, product, computer systems, etc.

Monthly Flyers – concept, design, sales support and manage “Maximum Impact” flyer program, mailing list

Coordinate and promote “Customer Training Nights”, vendor “ride-alongs” with sales people and training

Develop and manage customer incentive programs

Promote, install and administer Diamond Connect systems with customers

Collect market feedback to monitor competitiveness.

Manage parts customer contact database (ACT!).

Qualifications

2+ years of previous experience managing or leading a sales team, including outside sales representatives

Parts sales experience in a commercial truck or heavy‑duty dealership environment

A college degree or equivalent industry experience

Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and gross margin goals

Strong skills in account management, territory planning, and target account development

Experience monitoring sales performance and implementing action plans to increase revenue

Ability to train, coach, and evaluate sales representatives

Experience reviewing commissions and monitoring sales activity reports

Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and pricing issues effectively

Familiarity with manufacturer programs, special pricing assistance, and vendor coordination

Experience with customer incentive programs, promotions, and sales flyers

Comfortable organizing customer training events and vendor ride‑along events

Proficient with CRM and sales systems (ACT! or similar preferred)

Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
