PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for revenue generation from assigned territory
Responsible for selling all WIS products and services, by identifying needs, educating customers on products/services through rig visits and field office visits and providing assigned field-based customers with exceptional service from sale to delivery and collections
Establish key relationships with other suppliers, for example, rig contractors, well service rig contractors, directional drillers, rental companies, etc., for gathering market intelligence and for direct and indirect sales opportunities
Responsible for maintaining sales information in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program for assigned accounts, including customer contact information, customer organizational charts, key buyers, and sales opportunities including a forward sales forecast
Conduct or assist with rig inventories as required by customer or when a new rental job is shipped, and/or when the job is released. Work with operations personnel to ensure accurate paperwork. Acquire signatures from company representatives for delivery tickets and acknowledging missing tools and file documentation in a manner that is consistent and trackable.
Collect and communicate accurate and detailed contact information including, but not limited to, first and last names, cell phone numbers and email addresses for all orders or opportunities.
Capture competitive intelligence by providing written reports detailing who is currently providing the services which compete with WIS by rig, by field or assigned territory
Identify and communicate potential cross-PL opportunities and under-served markets
Collaborate, communicate and engage regularly with supervisor, other Field Sales Representatives, Account Representatives, Operations Managers, Field Service Managers and support staff
Provide basic product/service recommendations and product demonstrations to the client
Assist in troubleshooting product/service performance in the field and resolving complaints
Ensure that customer problems arising from sales are responded to and appropriately managed
Understand sales programs, new product introduction, etc., within assigned sales territory
Attend training courses to maintain knowledge of key technologies as well as competitor practices
Lead and support continuous improvement projects
Develop technical knowledge through on the job training and certification classes
Manage expenses per company policy and as a good steward, turning reports in on a timely fashion
Comply with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality and IT standards and policies.
Comply with customer required HS&E certifications and maintain those certifications up to date
Handle special projects as assigned
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School education or GED required
Bachelor's degree, preferred
Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience, preferred
Proficiency in all areas of sales fundamentals, including, but not limited to, prospecting, cold calling, listening, planning, presenting, overcoming objections, follow-up, negotiation, closing, conflict resolution, networking, referral generation, and reporting
Strong commercial, market & customer understanding required
Must be proactive and creative
Knowledge of downhole tools and oilfield services required
Excellent work ethic, demonstrated by a positive attitude and completing assignments on time
Basic computer skills, MS Word, Outlook, Excel & Power Point
Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and nonverbal communication
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
