The Multimedia Designer position exists within the Mitchells Agency creative department. This role blends creativity with technology to produce a wide array of visual and interactive content. The Multimedia Designer is a visionary artist who brings concepts to life through a mixture of graphic design, video production, animation, and web development. Whether it's creating stunning visuals for websites, developing captivating video content, or crafting interactive elements for digital advertising, the Multimedia Designer works independently on assigned projects or as a member of a project team, develops concepts, and fulfills assignments according to supplied strategic and creative input. The Multimedia Designer may work directly with account service, or with production artists and outside contractors (freelancers and vendors), to complete design requirements. More typically, the Multimedia Designer works under the direction of an Art Director or Creative Director. The position reports to the Art Director.

Responsibilities

Develop multimedia content for various platforms, including websites, videos, and social media

Create animations, motion graphics, and visual effects

Design and layout graphics for print and digital media

Collaborate with clients and other team members to conceptualize and execute design ideas

Edit and enhance video footage

Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies

Ensure all multimedia content aligns with branding and project guidelines

Optimize multimedia content for various devices and platforms

Work within project deadlines to deliver high-quality content

Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and other industry-standard tools

Qualifications

Experience with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro

Experience with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design

Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation software

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Creative problem-solving abilities

Proven experience as a Multimedia Designer or similar role

Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Good organizational and time management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback

Strong portfolio of original content work the candidate has created, written or concepted demonstrating multimedia design skills across print, video and animation. AI- generated images or designs may only be used as references or mockups, not as final submissions. The use of AI within the portfolio must be disclosed. Submitting fully AI- generated work as original portfolio content is strictly prohibited.

Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Multimedia Arts, or a related field
