A contract role for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Creator & Publisher to support digital engagement efforts. This role will focus on developing, curating, and publishing compelling content across social platforms to enhance brand visibility, drive audience engagement, and support organizational initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Develop engaging social media posts, graphics, and short-form videos aligned with NYPA and Canals branding and messaging. Write clear, concise, and compelling copy tailored for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter). Manage content calendars and schedule posts using approved tools. Ensure timely publishing of content for campaigns, events, and announcements. Monitor social channels for comments and messages; elevate as needed. Support engagement strategies to foster positive interactions with audiences. Track performance metrics and provide insights to optimize content strategy. Work closely with NYPA and Canals marketing teams to align content with organizational goals. Coordinate with internal stakeholders for approvals and compliance. Assist with weekly, monthly data compliance efforts. Assist with ad hoc projects. Required Qualifications and Skills

4 Year degree Proven experience in social media content creation and publishing. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout Social, Hootsuite). Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite preferred). Understanding of analytics and ability to interpret data for actionable insights. Knowledge of energy, infrastructure, or public sector communications is a plus. Preferred
