The Director, Air Service Development at the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) leads strategy and execution to retain and attract passenger and cargo air services at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Allegheny County Airport (AGC). Reporting to the VP of Air Service and Commercial Development, the role oversees the air service development team, manages airline and industry relationships, monitors market and economic trends, develops data‑driven business strategies, and partners internally on marketing, customer care, and account management. The director also sets short‑ and long‑term goals, supports staff development, and ensures a strong, customer‑focused airline experience.
The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and customer‑centric skills, with a bachelor’s degree preferred and at least five years of managerial experience (air service development experience is a plus). Extensive knowledge of airline and cargo industries, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration is expected.
