About the role

The Global HQ General Manager (GM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facilities management and hospitality services, ensuring they adhere to the highest operational & hospitality standards necessary to support a corporate Global Headquarters. In this capacity, the GM is responsible for managing a diverse team of employees, manage vendor contracts and the daily operational activities, focusing on enhancing the customer experience through individual well-being, boosting personal productivity, and optimizing organizational effectiveness. This holistic approach is essential for delivering exceptional service that meets the unique needs of a global corporate venue.

The Experience and Facilities team, under your leadership, is tasked with managing services at a dynamic Global HQ. The GM’s primary objective is to ensure that all operational activities, services and policies are aligned with client requirements and organizational goals, thereby fostering a seamless, efficient and dynamic workplace.

As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and site leader, your extensive hospitality industry knowledge and expertise are critical in shaping and executing strategic operational programs that elevate service delivery. In this role, you will engage in thorough analysis and evaluation of current practices and subsequently create and implement robust operational plans tailored to a specific client. Your efforts will drive the delivery of industry-leading, best-in-class services that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our customers and clients, ensuring the Global Headquarters functions at optimal performance levels.

This role requires you to be onsite Monday-Friday in Indianapolis, IN. For those not living in the Indianapolis, IN area, we will require relocation.

What you’ll do

  • Drives consistent, quality service through supervision of CBRE employees and managed contracts supporting Experience Services as well as day-to-day Facility Operations. This includes oversight and management of Food & Beverage, Front Desk, Security, Housekeeping, and Maintenance Services contracts.
  • Leads the team who oversees the operating budget and makes recommendations on annual budgets; ensures the team expedites all billings for business services are invoiced and billed as required. Ensures that savings goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Performs facility inspections and quality assurance of all services following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Sug­gests operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manages daily operations of workplace facilities, ensuring safety, maintenance, and functionality; coordinates repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of building systems and equipment; oversees daily operations of Food & Beverage, Security, Janitorial, and Front Desk.
  • Leads and prepares operating budget, variance reports, and opportunities to be incorporated into the capital plan.
  • Manages vendor relationships and oversees contracts for maintenance and service providers.
  • Oversees services including, but not limited to: Security, Reception, Room Management, Meeting and Event Management, Community Programs, Meeting Supply Equipment, Food and Beverages Services, Company Store, Mail Services, Record Archiving, Office Supply Management, Furniture and Cable Management and Space Reset.
  • Maintains positive client relationships and conducts routine meetings with the client and additional meetings when needed on unresolved facility issues.
  • Manages environmental health and safety procedures for facilities in concert with the client’s HSE team.
  • Owns vendor relationships and invoicing procedures; reviews price quotes for procuring parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conducts process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Promotes sustainability practices within the workplace facilities and implements programs aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or other relevant vocational training preferred.
  • 5 years Related Experience (e.g., Hospitality Management, Building Operations, Facilities Management) roles preferred.
  • Prior hospitality experience in hotel/boutique hotel industry highly preferred.
  • Prior leadership/ development of teams and customer relationship management required.
  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and hospitality services.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Financial/ budgetary experience.
  • Facility Management or Hospitality GM certification preferred.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation range is about $160,000 to $170,000 annual base salary plus 10% target bonus with some potential flexibility based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
