Data Entry Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk for a 1-day inventory project in Elwood, Illinois. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring data integrity. This position requires a strong commitment to precision and proficiency in handling inventory-related tasks. Responsibilities: Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain inventory records with accuracy and efficiency. Assist in conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory levels are consistently monitored. Support the annual physical inventory process by verifying and reconciling discrepancies. Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report inventory data. Collaborate with team members to address and resolve any inventory-related issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management. Generate reports and summaries to provide insights into inventory trends. Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes. Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes for improved efficiency. The salary range for this position is $20/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan. Requirements: Proven experience in data entry or inventory management roles. Familiarity with cycle count processes and annual physical inventory procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in inventory management are a plus.
