The Concrete Sales Representative is a sales and service position responsible for marketing and sales of ready mix concrete and related customer service in an assigned territory and with an assigned list of accounts. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential clients in and around the market Arrange lunch meetings or events with assigned customers, including hosting customers after-hours, on weekends, and potentially travelling out of town Follow up on leads and create new customer base through cold calling and relationship building Review, discuss, and present proposals and pricing with team members and clients Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows on occasion, including after-hours, weekends, or potentially travelling out of town Manage sales process from initial bonding and rapport to fulfillment and post sell Assist customers in scheduling delivery times with Dispatch and coordinating with appropriate personnel Establish and maintain productive working relationships with Logistics and Operations personnel Work with Quality Control personnel to ensure product meets specific requirements of the customer Identify and resolve client concerns and issues Maintain, update, and share all projects and opportunities in CRM to appropriate Sales Representatives within the Dolese divisions Monitor CRM project list to ensure all projects within assigned territory are recorded Enter data for new projects generated through sales effort in the field or through sales calls Assist Sales Coordinators as needed by gathering data, including specs and quantities, used to generate quotes Attend pre-construction meetings as necessary Monitor concrete deliveries in assigned service area each day and visit at least a few locations each day in assigned service area that are receiving concrete to touch base with the customers at the field level Follow all safety policies, procedures, and participation in the Catwalk program Regular attendance at the worksite or assigned work location Other duties related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required At least two years of sales experience preferred CRM experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Concrete technical knowledge preferred Strong knowledge of local and rural geographic areas Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships Ability to represent the Company and sell all product offerings to customers Ability to greet and assist customers courteously on the telephone or in person Ability to read, write, and figure mathematical calculations to verify concrete quantities Self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision Willingness to participate in and apply sales training, instruction, and techniques, including the Sandler Sales System Maintain good safety and driving records Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends Physical Requirements
