If you're passionate about shaping your future, consider joining our team. We are seeking an Associate Director of Tax Research and Planning to join our esteemed Firm Tax team. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization. Perform comprehensive tax research and analysis to assist in the preparation of federal and state individual tax returns and partnership schedule K-1s for the Partner Tax Services and Partner Tax Matters group. Stay ahead of federal and state legislative changes; model the potential impact of proposed tax adjustments and uncover strategic tax-saving opportunities for the firm and its partners. Document tax research findings and collaborate with firm experts on various compliance matters to meet all tax regulations and deadlines. Communicate tax technical positions clearly to interdisciplinary teams within Firm Taxes. Address inquiries from tax authorities to effectively and efficiently resolve any tax issues. Uphold KPMG's values of integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility while contributing to a respectful work environment. To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: A minimum of seven years of recent experience in federal and state individual tax, showcasing in-depth knowledge of partnership federal and state schedule K-1s. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree in tax or accounting is preferred. Additionally, holding an enrolled Agent or CPA designation is highly regarded. Preferred experience with high net worth individual tax matters. Proficiency in tax research tools such as Westlaw, Bloomberg, and CCH. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including advanced Excel functions and creating presentations for tax planning analysis. A detail-oriented and collaborative approach, with a proactive mindset towards problem-solving. Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP is committed to maintaining pay transparency. For positions within California, the salary range is $124,000 - $259,000.
