Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Director of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness on behalf of our client, a leading global energy company specializing in sustainable wood bioenergy. This role is a critical leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the organization's internal talent strategy, with a strong emphasis on learning, development, succession planning, and organizational design. The Director will partner closely with executive leadership to build a strong internal talent pipeline that supports long-term business growth, particularly across manufacturing and plant-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide learning, training, and leadership development programs, with a strong focus on internal talent growth
Drive succession planning and internal mobility strategies to strengthen the organization's long-term talent pipeline
Oversee performance management processes and ensure alignment with business goals and talent development initiatives
Partner with senior leadership and the C-suite to assess organizational design, structure, and workforce planning needs
Evolve the company's talent model to support future organizational growth and operational demands
Manage and mentor a team, including learning and training professionals and talent acquisition team members
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership to ensure alignment between external hiring and internal development strategies
Support training and development needs across both corporate and plant-based teams, addressing unique challenges in manufacturing environments
Analyze talent metrics and workforce data to inform strategy and decision-making
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization on talent, performance, and organizational effectiveness initiatives
Requirements Include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field required
Master's degree preferred
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, or human resources leadership
Proven experience leading learning and development initiatives at scale
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or blue-collar workforce environments strongly preferred
Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders and executive teams
Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to execute and operationalize initiatives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization
Data-driven decision-making and workforce analytics experience
Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certifications preferred but not required
Knowledge: Learning and development frameworks and adult learning principles
Performance management systems and talent review processes
Succession planning and internal talent mobility strategies
Organizational design and workforce planning
Best practices for talent development within manufacturing or operational environments
