Position Summary: Assist in leading the activities of the Plant Operations Department to ensure effective and timely hospital maintenance. Responsible for defining and implementing life safety standards within the hospital. Position Requirements: Education and Experience: High school diploma with at least five years of experience in facilities management. Valid Tennessee driver’s license; must be insurable. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with in-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and construction. Workplace Experience: Hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electronics, and mechanical systems. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Proficient in reading and interpreting floor plans or blueprints. Physical Requirements: Work in various environments with potential exposure to hazards. Safely lift up to 60 lbs and navigate stairs and ladders as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and approve time in the timekeeping system to ensure compliance with policies. Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment. Train maintenance technicians and assist with day-to-day operations. Manage the hospital's building systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance (P.M.) tasks and documentation for regulatory surveys. Coordinate with vendors for testing and repairs of critical systems. Troubleshoot challenges within physical plant and maintenance operations. Assist with budget management and ensure timely budget reviews. Conduct, document, and evaluate fire drills per standards. Maintain documentation on inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire systems. Support the Plant Operations Director as needed and be available 24/7 for emergencies.
