As part of Abbott’s Medical Devices portfolio, our teams work to advance innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes and expand access to life‑changing therapies.The role could be base either in Belgium or in UK.**WHAT YOU’LL DO*** Own the EMEA Market Access strategy for Heart Failure by translating business priorities into actionable country‑level access objectives (coverage, coding/payment, procurement positioning, evidence needs).* Act as a member of the regional Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and contribute to EMEA and global strategy planning to ensure access considerations are integrated into short-, mid- and long‑term growth strategies.* Lead cross‑functional coordination to establish an operating model with clear governance, communication structures, and decision forums that link business objectives to access activities.* Coach and mobilize country HE&R teams to deliver tailored reimbursement strategies across diverse healthcare systems; directly lead priority initiatives where local HE&R presence is not established.* Drive innovative market access approaches, including stakeholder advocacy, value‑based pathways, and novel payment or procurement models.* Shape and align the EMEA evidence plan with global strategy, clinical roadmap, and HTA requirements, ensuring readiness for value‑based engagements.* Partner with commercial leadership to integrate pricing and tender strategies that protect value and margin; contribute to tender playbooks and contracting strategies.* Build and maintain strong external relationships with payers, HTA bodies, procurement groups, policy influencers and relevant professional societies; represent Abbott in policy and industry forums to advocate for value‑based adoption.* Monitor environmental shifts (policy, funding, reimbursement processes, HTA and procurement trends) and translate insights into timely strategy updates.* Develop capability across teams by implementing HE&R training, tools, and frameworks that elevate market access acumen and strategic problem‑solving.* Coordinate with the APAC HE&R leader to relay relevant regional updates to the HF ELT and share insights on business strategy or new learnings as needed.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Advanced degree in Health Services Research, Economics/Health Economics, Public Health, Policy or a related discipline.* 10+ years of experience in Market Access/HEOR for medical devices across EMEA.* Proven leadership experience in HTA submissions, pricing/tendering, and payer/provider engagement.* Strong business acumen and ability to connect access strategies to commercial priorities.* Demonstrated ability to design integrated strategies and mobilize cross‑functional teams within a global matrix environment.* Fluent English.**SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Expertise in the EMEA HTA landscape, hospital funding models, DRG systems and tendering processes.* Experience developing and delivering customized value communication tools.* Excellent communication skills and ability to translate policy and evidence into business impact for diverse audiences.* Strong project management skills, adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement.* Cultural agility and ability to influence without authority; diplomacy in stakeholder engagement.* Additional EMEA languages preferred.* Experience in country‑level market access roles strongly preferred.Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
