JOB SUMMARY The
Regional Director, Business Development
will be responsible for the full scope of product portfolio management for the Ormco business adapted to the region needs, through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet growth objectives. The Ormco business includes Spark Aligners, as well as the full line of fixed appliances (brackets, wires, tubes, adhesives and removable appliances in ortho labs). This position will require 4 days in the Brea, CA office and 1 day working from home.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads, designs and creates regional product strategies for the orthodontic business to achieve the region growth objectives.
Collaborates with key team members (VP Portfolio, R&D, Regional VP, Marketing, Scientific Liaison, Clinical team, Education & Events, and Operations team) as well as the Ormco KEs to develop regional product strategies that are consistent globally and in alignment with the Ormco Strategic Initiatives for the region.
Responsible for driving successful launches of new products through post launch; through coordination of all commercial activities in concert with technical and regulatory development.
Co-leads the Product Planning Group (PPG) for the region along with VP Portfolio, VP R&D and region VP. Ensures a strong business case (financial and technical justification) is developed for new products.
Participates in Strategic Planning and development of initiatives to meet expectations and goals on developing the Ormco Product portfolio.
Develops action plans, implement processes and meet deadlines for the Policy Deployment (PD) goals set forth within the department.
Understands and anticipates regional Voice of Customer (VOC) to translate and shape customer needs into new product development requirements; uses fact‑based research to identify market opportunities
Collaborates with Product Marketing on creating a full strategic product marketing plan from conception to launch.
Drives the organization toward superior quality of the entire product portfolio as well as a best‑in‑class customer experience.
Works with Clinical Education Director, Key Experts to establish and maintain relationships with KE’s.
Participates in the development of pricing strategies with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Manufacturing.
Works with regional sales and marketing teams to follow the LEx processes and establish regional goals, drive consistency in product development, deliver sales forecasts, understand global customer needs and provide input into regional marketing campaigns.
Master and leverage core Envista Business System (EBS) Tools to create best in class product management processes and continuously improve (kaizen). Understands how to use the Growth Tools to Dream, Develop and Deliver to drive growth in Ormco.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required with studies in Business, Economics, Medical or Dental or related fields.
10+ years related experience and/or training and equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience analyzing market data and co‑developing strategic marketing plans.
Experience in a culture of continuous improvement and business direction change.
Knowledge of effective sales and public relations techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA preferred.
Experience working in the dental industry, orthodontics preferred.
Strong leadership skills, program management abilities and demonstrated success influencing a global and regional teams.
Solid organizational skills.
Able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging environment, strong desire to learn.
