in our Major Projects group as a Senior Estimator. The Project Controls Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction labor, procurement, engineering, and owners cost for projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, developing cost models, and collaborating with project teams to ensure project estimates align with scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Develop estimates from Relative order of Magnitude (level 5) to budgetary (level 3) for project activities, including construction labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and owners’ costs. Utilize cost estimation software and tools to create comprehensive cost models and databases. Bid Preparation: Prepare and review bid packages, ensuring all cost elements are accurately included. Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and vendors to select the most cost-effective options. Bid Evaluation: Participate in Bid evaluation, including estimating cost impact of contactor and supplier Bid exceptions. Scope and Quantity Takeoff: Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine the scope of work. Perform quantity takeoffs to calculate the amount of materials and labor required for projects. Cost Analysis and Benchmarking: Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to validate estimates against historical data and industry standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions. Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct contingency planning and scenario analysis to account for uncertainties. Change Management: Perform timely check estimates for contractors and supplier change requests. Participates in changing control processes to ensure all changes are properly documented and approved. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on cost estimates and project goals. Present cost estimates and supporting documentation to project teams. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of cost estimates, assumptions, and methodologies. Generate detailed cost reports and summaries for management review and decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, cost estimation techniques, and best practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the cost estimation process. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification #LI-MH1 Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree 7+ years of tangible experience in utility estimating space. Company Overview
