Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a
Procedure Writer Lead
to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

Procedure Writer Lead
provides support and coordination in the preparation, development and writing of new or revised technical, operating, maintenance, laboratory, or administrative procedures for assigned area. Drafts and/or revises procedures, descriptive manuals, data sheets, sketches and other documents to enable personnel to safely and correctly perform work.
Responsibilities
Leads procedure writers in the development of procedures for assigned facilities while ensuring the procedures are in accordance with applicable DOE Orders, EPA, OSHA, State Regulations, Nuclear Industry Standards and other governing bodies as applicable
Assists in the administration and maintenance of APS (Automated Procedure System) and maintains procedure templates.
Provides status updates to management and ensures lessons learned and facility requirements and regulations are incorporated in procedures.
Represents assigned area and contributes to Plan-of-the-Week meetings
Ensures periodic reviews and IPC rollup are performed in accordance with manual 2S.
Works with organization’s procedures group to discuss and resolve issues and concerns and assign actions as needed.
Develops and/or improves upon procedure programs to meet business needs or to respond to assessments.
Researches technical information, interviews subject matter experts, resolves review comments, ensures appropriate compliance, and prepares procedures for delivery.
Allocates resources, assists in scheduling and planning, resolves scheduling conflicts and measures performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor’s degree and experience as a procedure writer or a comparable role demonstrating an understanding of procedure principles in a highly regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of DOE and SRS procedures
Field operations experience
Procedure Writer Training and Certification
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
About Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. The SRMC Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Site’s Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities.www.savannahrivission.com
