ASRC Federal is seeking a **Business Development (BD) Director** with Federal GovCon experience supporting the _U_ _.S. Army market, with specific focus in Army logistics and sustainment._ The candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development and will partner with Supply Chain and Logistics Operating Group leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and winning large-scale contracts and building strong relationships with Army Logistics stakeholders.
**Work location:** This position can be remote with travel to client sites, customer meetings, and/or team meetings. I **deal candidate located in National Capitol Region or Huntsville, Alabama.**
**Summary:** This role is responsible for Army Logistics account management and identifying & qualifying new business opportunities aligned with ASRC Federal's supply chain and logistics capabilities and growth objectives. It will entail establishing and developing customer relationships for existing Army Logistics accounts and targeting new strategic markets for growth. Additional BD responsibilities include win strategy development, procurement shaping, and qualification and development activities leading to the successful capture of new business and re-compete opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success driving growth in new markets, establishing robust opportunity pipelines, positioning opportunities through effective qualification, managing complex pursuits throughout the entire Federal Acquisition (FAR) lifecycle, authoring persuasive responses to sources sought and RFIs, as well as developing white papers and presentations to support customer engagements. Candidate must also have demonstrated experience successfully pursuing medium to large-scale business/pursuits.
**Specific responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for supporting development and execution of Army Logistics Account Strategy
+ Responsible for pipeline development and management to support long-term growth.
+ Responsible for strategic evaluation of accounts and potential business opportunities.
+ Providing input into the Operating Group's overall business strategy for growth.
+ Effective qualification of opportunities to enhance PWIN and best position deal for successful capture.
+ Collaborating and coordinating BD activities internally ensuring opportunities are prioritized and managed within the business area.
+ Assisting the executive leadership team in setting strategic marketing programs to drive organizational growth and meet established goals.
+ Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key decision makers in relevant market segments.
+ Working with the Operating Group and BD team to leverage all relationships across the targeted market space.
+ Responsible for developing and managing customer call plans.
+ Developing and executing tactical sales strategies for the market segment.
+ Based on analysis of customer research, developing strategies to establish new business, and expand and grow existing business.
+ Identifying and/or developing customer needs.
+ Identifying, cultivating, and establishing teaming agreements with key strategic partners based on analyses of the marketplace.
+ Developing strategic relationships for campaign pursuits and cultivating long term relationships with strategic partners.
+ Supporting the development of differentiated technical solutions to drive optimal PWIN on complex deals.
+ Supporting the creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies.
+ Participating in budget planning for opportunities.
+ Managing and maintaining compliance with established budgets.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree is required.
+ Minimum of 10+ years related experience working Business Development and Account Management in federal government contracting environment with an emphasis on U.S. Army Logistics.
+ Minimum of 10+ years' experience in developing pipelines, strategic plans, and growth budgets.
+ Ability to travel 50%.
+ Demonstrated background developing new markets, with proven leadership from inception to fruition of strategic campaigns.
+ Must have effective oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry networks.
+ Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Direct experience with Army Materiel Command (AMC), Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), and Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) or related logistics support organizations.
+ Existing relationships with Army Logistic program and acquisition offices and officials.
+ Familiarity with emerging technologies in supply chain automation and logistics modernization.
