Job Summary Blade HQ is looking for an On-Camera Product Specialist to help customers understand and confidently choose the right knife.
This role combines live commerce support with product-focused video creation. You'll appear on camera during live selling shows and in recorded product videos, clearly explaining features, differences, and real-world use cases. Behind the scenes, you'll help ensure live shows are well prepared, accurately executed, and properly reported.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys being on camera, values product knowledge, and takes pride in representing products honestly and clearly.
Key Responsibilities On-Camera Product Presentation
Present knives and gear on camera in live selling shows and recorded product videos.
Clearly explain product features, differences, pricing, and use cases.
Answer customer questions in real time during live shows in a confident, approachable way.
Represent products accurately and in alignment with Blade HQ's standards of trust and clarity.
Live Selling Execution (approximately one day per week)
Assist with planning and preparation for live selling shows.
Set up streaming sets, lighting, and product displays.
Prepare featured products for live sale, ensuring accuracy and readiness.
Support the live selling host during shows by tracking information and assisting with logistics.
Moderate live chat and engage with viewers to maintain a fun, professional environment.
Product Video Content
Film product-focused videos highlighting new, updated, or featured knives and gear.
Follow provided outlines or shot lists to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Assist with basic production tasks such as framing, lighting, audio, and product setup.
Work with editors or content teams to deliver videos on schedule.
Help identify opportunities to repurpose live selling content into evergreen video.
Collaboration & Process
Work closely with marketing, product, customer service, and fulfillment teams.
Ensure product information is accurate, complete, and consistent across channels.
Provide feedback on products based on customer questions and live interactions.
What We're Looking For
Comfortable and confident speaking on camera.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Interest in knives, gear, or related products-or a willingness to become an expert.
Ability to stay calm and effective in live, fast‑paced environments.
Basic computer literacy and comfort using streaming and video tools.
Reliable follow-through on preparation, reporting, and execution.
Physical Requirements
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours on concrete floors.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Safe handling of knives and edged tools.
Prolonged periods looking at a computer screen.
Work Environment
Combination of warehouse, studio and office environments.
Fast‑paced and evolving as we test and refine live selling and video formats.
Team-oriented culture focused on clarity, trust, and execution.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience with live selling, video, retail, or product education is a plus, but not required.
Must be willing to provide a sample (either recorded or live) of on camera product presentation.
